Meet our Co-Founders
Nina Gomes
Co-Founder & Head of Care
Nina, a nursing expert with a Bachelor’s degree from Norway, has extensive international nursing experience and spent 13 years at Discovery Health managing various divisions. She also earned an Honors in Business Management from GIBS. Recently, as General Manager of a retirement village in Johannesburg, she identified the need for improved technology solutions, leading to the creation of CareView.
Gary James
Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer
Gary is a seasoned full-stack technologist and software engineer, recognized as a digital thought leader for his extensive technical expertise and ability to apply that to solving real world challenges. He has built code for NASA and more than half of the Fortune Global 500. He has spent most of the past 20 years innovating for South Africa’s largest banks, and has won numerous awards and accolades including being featured in the book “Great South African Inventions” (Cambridge University Press).

We created CareView to solve the daily frustrations we saw in the senior care space – the endless spreadsheets, the miscommunications, the burnout. We wanted to build something intuitive, powerful, and built for the real needs of care teams.
